Kitschy
Guyz started as a bad idea Chris had before going back to Japan. Most
people thought it was a bad enough idea to be good, but too bad of an
idea to help him. Reiko and Atchan got excited and wanted to join, and
then Jon got suckered in to joining (and he never did get those
prescriptions he was promised). Kitschy Guyz made songs mostly intended
for self-help seminars, with topics like mental patients shitting on
their doorstep, neurosis, and menstruating on dead cats. You can listen

After they parted ways, Reiko went back to making one-page zines under the name "Pei Pei", Atchan went back to playing Guns N Roses, Jon got hella laid and probably some diseases, and Chris paid a Chinese company lots of money to fly into space where he remains. Mike from Shinobu/Hard Girls/Classics of Love played some nice lead guitar on Blue Day and let Chris use his guitar, amp, and practice space. Everything else was recorded at Rinky Dink Studio in Machida. A friend (not mentioning names) still owes me 2000 yen from New Year's Eve 2005 - fuck! |
